innovative documentary filmmaking. In the middle there's this weird humorous montage juxtaposing news broadcaster/propagandist's voice stating how Syrians and Palenstians etc invade, penetrate and violate Lebanon, with pornographic images mirroring Miguel's own sexual indulgence. In a way this is a heavy-handed yet poignant clue. What makes Miguel Miguel today, the unrequited love, the lost, twisted, and unreliable memories, the fabrications, gratifications, achievements and guilt, and the loneliness, are indicative of the society's ill writ large, universal but also specific to this war torn part of the world. The personal is always political.

像讀一本小說，一點點拼接起主人公的身世與情感史。開始覺出看新影片的趣味來了，虛構、回憶、故地重逢、擇演員扮演記憶中的角色、甚至讓導演自己的母親出場，種種手法都是一個目的，就是調出主人公那埋藏已久的記憶之盒。另外音樂太棒了
